Tales From the Singing Porch
TFTSP is an original folktale anthology podcast written and performed by Joe Blanchard and directed and designed by me.
This podcast consists of seven folktales and one prologue track ranging from coming-of-age adventures to urban noir to reflections on grief. We think we don’t have enough opportunities to tell and hear stories around the campfire in our day-to-day lives, so we want to create and share some of that magic.
We are now an award winning podcast (!!), as I recently received an International Women’s Podcast Award for “Behind the Scenes Brilliance” on Floorboard 7: “The House of Sickness.”

Weird Voice
I joined the Ice Core Collective while this project was already in full swing, and it was an absolute privilege to jump onto this moving ship. This audio fiction anthology is deeply inspired by the spooky stories that we loved growing up. Dad’s Friend From Work explores the haunting nostalgia that happens when reminiscing about childhood events with the full context that comes with growing up.
“Do You Have a Moment?”
In January 2025, Joe and I teamed up with our friend and composer Samuel Perlman to make a 2 minute audio short for the 48 hour Sonic Dash competition, run by Silver Sound. Everything within the piece must be created in this 48 hour period, so it was a fantastic scramble to ideate, write, perform, score, design, and mix over one lovely weekend. For this piece, I acted as the editor, director, and sound designer.
And — the piece earned 2nd place!!
Since, it has been featured in the UK International Audio Drama Festival, The Leipziger Hoerspielsommer Festival, and will be featured in the Berlin Audio Play Festival in the fall.
The Bardo Abridged
When was reading George Saunders’ Lincoln in the Bardo, I kept hearing such distinct sonic environments. The story really stuck with me, and so I cut a few moments together into a 10 min long scene, recruiting my friends to be actors. This was my first sizable project where I created almost all the sound whole-cloth on my own. This book is a fantastic little sonic playground for learning and experimentation like this.
